Contrary to reports yesterday, the Rockies are expecting David Dahl to be ready to return to the Rockies this season. While Dahl's early results in his rehab stint have been extremely positive, the Rockies are still planning on giving him an extended rehab assignment to try and mimic spring training for Dahl.
Jerry Schemmel one of the Rockies radio announcers is a very accomplished extreme cyclist. Last year, Schemmel road across the country in seven days as part of a two man relay team to support an orphanage in Haiti. This year, his plan is to ride 468 miles across Colorado non-stop. He's also hoping to break the current record of 32 hours and 9 minutes while raising funds for Paws for Purple Hearts.
