In case you missed it last night, the Rockies are now being rumored to be interested in not just upgrading their bullpen situation, but also their catching situation. Also, it appears that the reason that the Rockies may have been quiet in the trade market while other teams have been making moves, is they seem to be more interested in some of the bigger trade targets like Zach Britton.

MLB Trade Rumors dove a bit deeper into the catching options that the Rockies have been rumored to be interested in. The Rockies could definitely use a shot in the arm right now and the catching position would be the easiest to upgrade at this point.

You probably didn't notice, but last night's game was supposed to be faster. MLB experimented with the timing clock between innings for just the Cardinals-Rockies game last night in an attempts to speed up the game. They set the between-innings clock to 1:45 instead of the usual 2:05 for locally televised games and 2:25 for nationally televised games. Unfortunately, despite the relatively low score the game time was still above average at 3:11
