The Colorado Rockies can take their time with David Dahl

Why The Rockies Do Not Need To Rush Back David Dahl | FanRag Sports

The Rockies can take their time with Dahl, who hasn’t played a game yet this season. Despite the recent losing ways, the team is still six games up in the Wild Card standings and have plenty of outfield depth to handle his absence. The Rockies offense hasn’t been good, but that’s more due to poor performance than lack of talent on the roster. They aren’t a David Dahl away from being a top offense, so let him heal fully.

Colorado Rockies rumors: 3 trade targets already being discussed | Rox Pile

Trade season is coming, and the Rockies have found themselves on the receiving end of a lot of rumors lately. Three of those rumors surround Detroit’s Justin Verlander and J.D. Martinez along with Pittsburgh’s Ivan Nova. I don’t think any of them are good fits for the Rockies; Verlander is on the decline and hasn’t been the same pitcher over the last few years, Nova is having a career year in a career of mediocrity, and I’d rather have David Dahl when he’s ready than shell out some prospects for a Martinez rental.

Chad Bettis is on track to start a rehab assignment during the all-star break on July 10. He had a successful bullpen session on Saturday and looks to be ready to ramp up his rehabilitation from testicular cancer. The Rockies keep "adding" these pitchers, providing much welcome reinforcements to a talented but untested pitching staff.

Brendan Rodgers Back In Lineup After Beanball Saturday | Hartford Courant

For those of you who don't know, top PuRP Brendan Rodgers was nailed in the head on Saturday and had to leave the game. Luckily, he was back in the Yard Goats lineup on Sunday, showing that the helmet saved him from any serious injury. Still, any head injuries should be monitored for a few days just in case.
