The Rockies face the White Sox tonight at Coors Field in the penultimate game before the All-Star break. Jeff Hoffman starts for the Rockies against José Quintana for the White Sox. Carlos González is sitting out for the second consecutive game. Last night, Gerardo Parra went 3-for-5 with a double in his first game since June 6. He’s batting fifth.
The Rockies also made a minor move prior to today’s game. They optioned Antonio Senzatela and called up Zac Rosscup. Senzatela hasn’t pitched much since moving to the bullpen after his June 22 start, and he’ll probably be back with the Rockies after the All-Star break.
First things first though. A win today means the first home series win since June 15-18.
