Chad Bettis returns to the Rockies after battle with cancer

Nolan Arenado returns in pinch after hand HBP -
After leaving Sunday's game after getting hit by a pitch in the hand, Rockies third baseman Nolan Arenado not only avoided the disabled list, but returned to action with a pinch hitting appearance Monday. Arenado popped out in the seventh inning, and talked with Thomas Harding about the health of his hand after the game.

First baseman Ryan Howard, who signed a minor-league deal with the Rockies on Saturday, talked with Nick Groke about his debut at Triple-A Albuquerque and his hopes for the rest of the 2017 season.

Rockies honor Don Baylor at Coors Field -
In addition to Bettis' return, Monday marked the Rockies' first home game since the passing of Don Baylor, the team's first manager. The Rockies had a scoreboard tribute and a moment of silence for Baylor prior to the game, and his jersey was hung in the home dugout throughout the contest.
