The Rockies face left-handed starting pitcher Rich Hill today, and in response the team scattered four lefties throughout the starting lineup. Most notably, catcher Tony Wolters is batting ninth. The pitcher’s spot, first occupied by Tyler Chatwood will bat eighth. Because this is likely to be a bullpen game, the eighth spot will most likely be a series of pinch hitters after the fourth inning or so, and just about every option will be preferable to Wolters.
The Rockies have won three out of the first four games of the series. A sweep would be nice but the series, and possibly even the entire road-trip, can already be considered a success. Still: Go Rockies.
