The Colroado Rockies close out the last game of the four game series against the Padres today. The Milwaukee Brewers were able to beat the Chicago Cubs in extra innings, putting both the Brewers and the St. Louis Cardinals a game and a half back of the Rockies for the second Wild Card spot. The Cardinals are scheduled to play the Pittsburgh Pirates while the Rockies play the Padres.
Rockies right hander Chad Bettis takes the hill for his first start of the year against the Padres. In his last start on September 14th, he only retired one batter while giving up five runs on three hits and three walks to the Arizona Diamondbacks.
The last time the Colorado Rockies faced ex-Rockies started Jhoulys Chacin was on September 17th at Coors Field. They scored three runs off of him in four and a third innings en route to a 4-3 win over the Padres.
