The Colorado Rockies will send their ace Jon Gray to the mound in a huge game on Wednesday afternoon as they look to reduce their magic number for clinching the second Wild Card spot to three. Gray enters this one tied for second in the National League in FIP- (min. 100 IP) at 68 and is going for his 13th consecutive start with at least five innings pitched while allowing three or fewer runs. If he can do it, he’ll have the second longest streak of such starts in Rockies history. His opposition is Adam Conley, who sports an FIP- of 129, second worst in the National League. Things appear to line up favorably for the Rockies in this one. First pitch at Coors Field is scheduled for 1:10 pm mountain time.
