Arizona Fall League play began on Tuesday, and each of the Rockies seven prospects saw action in at least two games each for the Salt River Rafters.
Ryan Castellani (no. 7 PuRP) was the exception since he started Tuesday’s opener. All three position players — Tyler Nevin (no. 12 PuRP), Sam Hilliard (no. 13 PuRP), and Josh Fuentes — began play with hits in back-to-back games. Of the three, Fuentes was the only one to record extra base hits in back-to-back games on Tuesday and Wednesday, before going 0-for-4 with three strikeouts on Friday against the Scottsdale Scorpions. Friday was his third start. Nevin and Hilliard only played two games each this week, but still were able to notch at least one hit in both games.
