Colorado Rockies fans get the World Series they never wanted | Rox Pile
It’s all coming to a head, and it will be the Dodgers against the Red Sox. And Rockies fans will have a tough time picking a team to root for. Do we cheer for our division rivals? Or for the team who beat us in the 2007 World Series? It is a tough call. Denver will likely see an increase in support for the Nuggets and the Avalanche, as we need something to support. Although the Brewers knocked us out of the running, they at least would have been a better option for our support. Now we’ll watch two of the three teams with the highest payroll play against each other for the championship. Bring on 2019.
More on the World Series bummer…
I'm not ... my point is, the #Dodgers would have had to go through the wild-card gauntlet. The #Rockies could have beaten the Braves. So you never know what could have happened. https://t.co/H042zK9cvU

Patrick Saunders of the Denver Post comments on how the 2018 season could have ended so very differently if just a couple of elements had gone another way. The result might still have been the same, but maybe they could have put up a bit more of a fight.
