The Rockies snagged two pitchers, Ryan Castellani and Justin Lawrence, an infielder, Josh Fuentes, and outfielder Sam Hilliard. The Rockies also designated for assignment Jordan Patterson. Those players the Rockies protected are now safe from the Rule 5 Draft in December. The Rockies have long had impressive depth in their roster, and now they’ve got some more secure prospects.
