Colorado Rockies: How will Ryan McMahon factor in 2019? | Rox Pile
Ryan McMahon made something of a name for himself with the Rockies in 2018. He may not have had a ton of playing time, but in the games he did see, he had many impressive moments, like his multiple game-winning home runs. So we have to ask ourselves what 2019 will look like for the young man. He has the versatility to fill in at second base in the instance that we don’t hang onto DJ LeMahieu. He would certainly provide an affordable option for the team. He’s shown us that he has the potential to be a powerful hitter, and if he can find that consistency, he would be just what the doctor ordered. Another option at second base, of course, is another impressive prospect, Brendan Rodgers. Maybe McMahon could move over to first base, pushing Ian Desmond to the outfield. Either way, young Ryan McMahon could help contribute to an excellent infield for the Rockies.
