Larry Walker’s long trek to Cooperstown is gaining ground | Mile High Sports
Larry Walker is slowly but surely working toward a possible induction to the Hall of Fame. Walker finished his career with 383 home runs, 1,311 RBIs, 230 stolen bases, and seven Gold Gloves. This is nothing to scoff at, a truly impressive career. However, one big thing standing in his way is the smaller number of games played. Health issues got in his way, and he played in fewer games than many on the ballot. He has been steadily making his way, though, and it’s certainly looking like he might be able to make it in during his final year on the ballot. This would be a big moment, not only for Walker, but for the Rockies, who would have with Walker their first player in the Hall of Fame.
Colorado Rockies rumors: Is an Adam Ottavino return possible? | Rox Pile
Adam Ottavino had an astounding 2018 for the Rockies, easily the most consistent bullpen players for Colorado. It was tough to see him go, but the Rockies have said they would be willing to bring him back. The Red Sox and the White Sox, however, have also expressed their interest in the right hander. Ottavino now carries a high price tag, and this factor will likely be the decider. Jeff Bridich and the Rockies spent big on the bullpen last year, and it didn’t pan out very well. The Rockies will need to save their money if they hope to keep Nolan Arenado, so it’s hard to say if they’d be willing to shell out to bring Ottavino back.
