The Rockies have played approximately one week’s worth of spring training games. Of course, we’re still too early to draw any substantive conclusions or reliably predict how the roster will shake out (stay tuned for next week). But that doesn’t stop the average fan from worrying a little about one’s team. Last year we had a bit of a communal cathartic experience excising some fears we had for the 2017 season (many of which were unfounded, but some of which were). I figured it would be healthy to do the same this year.
This week’s FanPost Friday prompt:
What has you worried about the Rockies going into 2018?
Personally, I have a lot of worries: other wild card contenders last year seem to have improved more than the Rockies did, and I’m not sure about this offense (but I’ll get into that more next week). What plagues your worries? Is it the development of prospects like Ryan McMahon and Brendan Rodgers? Is it seeing how big name free agent signing Wade Davis will do at the back of the bullpen? Or do you simply worry about whether that giant scoreboard will burn out your retinas?
The idea is if we get all the negative thoughts out in the open now, we’ll better be able to be present and enjoy the games as they come to us.
Write up a FanPost (if you’ve never done one here are a couple handy guides for you) and tell us all about it. Make sure to include “FPF” in the title and we will post some of our favorites on the front page next week.
