FanPost Friday: Predicting the Rockies 25-man roster

Spring training is about at the boring point. Let’s get excited for the regular season.

We’re about halfway through spring training and it’s usually about this time folks start getting bored with the fake games and desperately want the real games to begin. I can’t promise this exercise will make the real games come any faster, but maybe they will help us deal with the gap between then and now.

Who is going to be on the Opening Day 25-man roster for the Colorado Rockies? What will the starting lineup look like?

Spring training is about figuring out who will fill out the edges of the roster and who will start the season in Triple-A. Give us your prediction for who will be occupying each spot. You don’t need to justify every player (we can safely assume players like Nolan Arenado, Charlie Blackmon, and Jon Gray will be in there), but feel free to make a case for why you think (for example) Antonio Senzatela will occupy the last slot in the rotation or finalize the bullpen.

Then, fill out the lineup card for that first game in Phoenix on March 29. This can be your ideal lineup or what you think Black will actually do, but be sure to let us know.

Write up a FanPost (if you’ve never done one here are a couple handy guides for you) and tell us all about it. Make sure to include “FPF” in the title and we will post some of our favorites on the front page next week.
