Sometimes it happens – all of the farm teams lose on the same day. That was the case for all four of the Rockies’ minor league affiliates on Saturday. The closest game was the Asheville Tourists’ 6-5 loss to the Columbia Fireflies. None of the prospects had particularly stellar performance either. Out of all of the players who were in action on Saturday, only nine had multiple hit days. Five of those were Jordan Patterson (no. 14 PuRP), who went 2-for-4 with a home run; Noel Cuevas (HM PuRP), who went 2-for-4 with a triple; Josh Fuentes, who went 2-for-3 with a run and a walk; Chad Spanberger (no. 29 PuRP), who went 2-for-4 with a run; and 2017 ninth round draft pick Sean Bouchard, who also went 2-for-4 with a home run.
Two games are not being played today, but hopefully the Isotopes and JetHawks can rebound from yesterday’s down days.
