After a successful road trip, the Rockies return to Denver to start a three game series against the Chicago Cubs. Jon Gray gets the start for the Rockies. He’ll try to rebound from that “third time through the order” start in Washington. Kyle Hendricks gets the start for the Cubs.
There are a couple notable tidbits from the lineup. First, Nolan Arenado is back, and that is very welcome. Second, DJ LeMahieu will lead off and Charlie Blackmon will hit third. Rox Pile’s Jake Shapiro tweeted before the game that Bud Black likes DJ in the leadoff spot right now. And, finally, Gerardo Parra is in the lineup. He was to start his four game suspension today, so it looks like he’s appealing.
Game time is scheduled for 6:40 Mountain.
