It was a high scoring day down on the Rockies’ farm yesterday with three out of four teams scoring double digit runs and all four teams combining for 42 total runs. Hartford Yard Goats second baseman Brendan Rodgers (no. 1 PuRP) accounted for four of the team’s 13 total runs, driving in four total runs on a sacrifice fly in the bottom of the first inning and a tie-breaking three run home run in the bottom of the seventh inning. He also recorded his fifth stolen base on Sunday.
In Albuquerque, Isotopes catcher Tom Murphy (no. 11 PuRP) also had a good day at the plate. He went 2-for-5 with a three run double in the bottom of the fifth inning and recorded his first stolen base of the season.
