Prospect news and game results from the Rockies minor league affiliates from Sunday, May 27, 2018

Catcher Tom Murphy (no. 11 PuRP) hit his 13th home run of the season on Sunday night, a three run shot, in the Albuquerque Isotopes blowout win over the Sacramento River Cats. This was the second home run of the ninth inning, following center fielder Raimel Tapia’s solo shot three batters earlier, his seventh of the season. Left fielder Mike Tauchman (no. 22 PuRP) also went 4-for-5 at the plate, scoring two runs himself and driving in two others. Every single Isotope (except starter Jeff Hoffman) recorded one hit, with hitters 1-6 accounting for 2+ each.

Speaking of Jeff Hoffman, he was able to give the Isotopes the win with six hits, one earned run, three walks, and seven strikeouts. The bullpen held at a combined 3.1 IP, three hits, one earned run, one walk, and two strikeouts as the Isotopes cruised to victory after a shutout loss the previous night.
