The Boise Hawks cruised to victory over the Eugene Emeralds behind Frederis Parra’s six shutout innings that included six hits and six strikeouts. Sunday’s victory was his second start but first win. He now owns an ERA of 0.82 in 11.0 innings of one hit ball. He was assisted by right fielder Cade Harris’ (10th round, 2018) two hits, including a home run in the fifth inning to solidify the score.
Elsewhere, Sean Bouchard (ninth round, 2017) also hit a home run in the Asheville Tourists’ 11 inning victory over the Charleston RiverDogs, but he also struck out three times. Chad Spanberger (no. 29 PuRP) hit a double, his 16th of the year, but was left stranded. Daniel Montano (no. 15 PuRP) went 2-for-5 for the Grand Junction Rockies, scoring a run himself and batting in two others en route to victory over the Ogden Raptors.
