The Rockies Triple-A affiliate celebrated its Hispanic/Latino communities, culture, and fans on Tuesday night when they participated in the Copa de la Diversión and transformed into the Mariachis de Nuevo México. They put on a show and celebrated in style by scoring 13 runs on 17 hits, highlighted by 3-hit performances from Mike Tauchman and Jordan Patterson.
Patterson led the charge with a home run, double, and three RBI, while Tauchman hit a three-run home run of his own and added his 9th stolen base. Garrett Hampson also continues to hit well and make himself right at home in Albuquerque, as he collected two hits, a double, and two RBI, bringing his Triple-A slashline to .308/.394/.436 in 133 at-bats.
In Hartford, three Yard Goat PuRPs had multi-hit games, including Brendan Rodgers and Forrest Wall, but Dom Nuñez stood out by smashing a home run (his 6th) and collecting three runs and two RBI.
