Colorado Rockies prospects Antonio Senzatela and Peter Lambert continue to push for promotions

Prospect news and game results from the Rockies minor league affiliates from June 28, 2018.

Pitching highlighted a strong day throughout the Colorado Rockies’ farm system on Thursday. Rockies’ affiliates went 5-3 on the day, with the teams at the top three levels each collecting wins while allowing just one run.

In Triple-A Albuquerque, Antonio Senzatela tossed 723 scoreless innings while allowing just three hits and a walk with four strikeouts. He’s been tremendous in Triple-A on the year, with a 2.15 ERA and 42-to-12 strikeout-to-walk ratio across 3723 innings. He is certainly pushing for a spot on the Major League roster.

Moving down one level, we find another superb performance from No. 4 PuRP Peter Lambert in Double-A Hartford. The 21-year-old righty allowed just a run on three hits in his seven innings of work, issuing a single walk to go along with nine strikeouts. It was the continuation of an impressive season for Lambert, who is now the owner of a 2.23 ERA and 75-to-12 strikeout-to-walk ratio in his 9223 innings on the year. He has thrown at least seven innings and allowed just one earned run in five consecutive starts as he continues to try to force his way up the ladder.
