After completing the first two rounds—plus the competitive balance rounds—on Monday night, the draft resumes at 11 a.m. MT Tuesday, with Rounds 3-10. The Rockies will make eight more picks before the day is done. You can follow MLB’s live updating tracker, or you can stream all the action on MLB.com. Then on Wednesday, the final few rounds (Rounds 11-40) will take place. Today’s schedule begins at 11 am MT; the Tigers are on the clock for the first pick of Round 3, 79th overall.
The Rockies had three picks yesterday. Their first round pick came at 22nd overall, LHP Ryan Rolison out of the University of Mississippi. He projects as a “high-floor” college arm, with a low-90’s fastball and a big curveball.
Next came their Competitive Balance Round A selection at 42nd overall, a prep first baseman Grant Lavigne from New Hampshire, then their third round pick, 76th overall: RHP Mitchell Kilkenny from Texas A&M.
