Carlos Gonzalez chipped in offensively with an RBI double and Ian Desmond had an RBI single as well as a triple, scoring the first Rockies run of the game.

Welcome to the big leagues, rookie
Rockies second baseman Garrett Hampson announced his presence with authority in his first big league game, with a slick play on his first defensive chance and going 1-for-3 with a walk and this RBI double in the fifth inning, cutting the Rockies deficit to 3-2.
