MLB Trade Rumors: Rockies still interested in pitchers Kevin Gausman and Dylan Bundy

It’s an evergreen trade rumor

The non-waiver trade deadline is a week from tomorrow, and the Rockies are now showing up in trade rumors. On Sunday Jon Heyman tweeted that the Rockies have asked the Orioles about reliever Zach Britton. And now Ken Rosenthal reports that the Rockies are also scouting Orioles starters Kevin Gausman and Dylan Bundy.

This isn’t the first time the Rockies have expressed interest in these pitchers. In fact, it was about a year ago to the day that the Rockies were last linked to Gausman, a Colorado native, and Bundy. If the Rockies were to pursue either of them along with Britton, the cost would increase. Britton is set to hit free agency at the end of this season, but Gausman and Bundy won’t be free agents until 2021 and 2022, respectively.

If the Rockies were to trade for either starter, they’d need to answer some rotation questions. Namely, who’s the odd man out?
