Sunday was not a great day for the Rockies farm system. Two games were not played due to inclement weather and of the other four, the Grand Junction Rockies were the only team to record a win when they beat the Great Falls Voyagers 10-3. During the clobbering, 2018 first round draft pick Grant Lavigne recorded three hits including a double and two RBI. Lavigne has been dominating since coming onto the scene, slashing .363/.442/.582 with three doubles, five home runs, and 27 RBI in 24 games with the Rockies.
A bit up the ladder, Ryan McMahon (no. 2 PuRP) and Mike Tauchman (no. 22 PuRP) recorded a combined six hits in the Albuquerque Isotopes’ 10-4 loss to the Fresno Grizzlies. They also combined for two runs, a double, an RBI, a walk, and two strikeouts.
