Colorado Rockies’ prospect Peter Lambert turns in strong performance in Albuquerque

New, 24 comments

Prospect news and game results from the Rockies minor league affiliates from July 26, 2018.

All eight of the Colorado Rockies’ minor league affiliates were in action on Thursday, with those eight clubs combining to go just 2-6. One bright side in an otherwise rough day came from No. 4 PuRP Peter Lambert who allowed just one run in his six innings for work for the Triple-A Albuquerque Isotopes. The 21-year-old righty was able to work around 10 hits, in part due to not walking a batter and striking out five.

Lambert now owns a 3.68 ERA across four starts in Triple-A and a 2.51 ERA in his 19 starts across both Double- and Triple-A on the season with 84 strikeouts to just 15 walks as he’s seen his prospect stock continue to rise throughout the 2018 season. Lambert has even moved into MLB Pipeline’s top 100 prospects list, coming in at number 89 overall. Let’s take a look at the rest of Thursday’s action.
