FanPost Friday: What if your favorite Rockie couldn’t be a Rockie anymore?

If your favorite Rockie couldn’t play for the Rockies, who would you want him to play for?

How many different active players can you name who, after the end of their rookie contracts, have spent their entire MLB career playing for one team? There are a variety of reasons for this but very few players in today’s game stay with one team after six-years in the bigs. Chances are your favorite player will one day don another team’s colors.

If your favorite player was never allowed to play for your favorite team again, where would you want him to play and why?

Maybe there was an amendment added to the Colorado constitution saying the Rockies current roster had to disband. Or maybe the dry air and high altitude forced your guy, under doctor’s orders, leave Denver permanently. The reason WHY doesn’t matter so much (though, if you want, get creative).

The crux of the question is this: if Nolan Arenado, or Charlie Blackmon, or Carlos Gonzalez, or whoever had to play for a different team, who would you want him to play for and why? If you want to take another favorite player and put him on a different team (other than the Rockies of course) feel free to answer that way as well. Oh, and don’t feel like you have to limit yourself to MLB teams. If you want to know what Jon Gray would do to KBO teams, tell us why!

Write up a FanPost (if you’ve never done one here are a couple handy guides for you) and tell us all about it. Make sure to include “FPF” in the title and we will post some of our favorites on the front page next week.
