Grand Junction starting pitcher Ryan Feltner was drafted out of Ohio State University in the fourth round of the 2018 draft and he has done nothing but dominate. In 22.2 innings pitched over seven starts with the GJ Rockies, he has not posted a decision but owns a 0.79 ERA and has only given up two runs (both earned, and one was a home run) on 12 hits. He has also struck out 31 batters and only walked four.
Speaking of dominant pitching, Albuquerque Isotopes starter Jeff Hoffman overpowered the Sacramento River Cats for almost the entire game on Sunday night. Not only did he record a hit to bring his average to .158, but he also pitched eight innings of one run baseball, allowing seven hits and two walks but striking out five batters on the way to the Isotopes’ victory.
