Colorado Rockies game no. 127 thread: Kyle Freeland vs. Joey Lucchesi

New, comments

An old friend returns as the Rockies try to take the series in the Thursday matinee

The Rockies will try to secure a series victory over the Padres on Thursday afternoon at Coors Field. Cy Young candidate (or, at least, he should be!) Kyle Freeland will take the hill and try to improve his 2.96 ERA against young lefty Joey Lucchesi of the Padres.

But that’s not the real story. The real story is that, after nearly ten full years, Matt Holliday will be donning a Rockies uniform once again. He’s in the starting lineup today batting fifth and playing his traditional left field.

ALAS, there is no local TV today, so those inside the AT&t SportsNet viewing area will have to go radio or GameDay to watch. Apparently MLB Network will join the broadcast at 2pm MT, if you’re so fortunate to have access to that channel.

Start time: 1:10 pm MT

TV: MLB.tv, MLB Network (around 2pm MT)

Radio: KOA 850 AM/94.1 FM, KNRV 1150 (Spanish)
