Thursday Pebble Report: Bret Boswell walks off Inland Empire

A 2-out, 2-run home run in the bottom of the tenth inning propelled the Lancaster JetHawks to a 8-7 win on Wednesday night. Bret Boswell launched his second home run of the night to put an exclamation point on a big victory for the JetHawks.

Boswell has four home runs since being called up from Asheville. Last year’s eighth round pick has broken out early in Lancaster with a .759 slugging percentage in his first seven games after a strong 2018 in Asheville. Boswell hit 17 home runs in 97 games for the Tourists before being called up and with his hot start in Lancaster could be in the midst of a strong breakout season in the Rockies system.

Lancaster’s win pushed them to 62-54 overall and 29-17 in the second half. The Hawks are barreling towards a playoff spot with their strong play since the All-Star break.
