Roberto Ramos (no. 23 PuRP) started off October by hitting his first home run of the Fall League — a two-run shot to center field to score Diamondbacks’ prospect Seth Beer (best name ever!). Ramos had two hits this week, the first time he has had multiple hits in a week.
Colton Welker (no. 4 PuRP) continued his hitting ways, adding another three to his collection. Welker so far has hit in every game except for one — an 0-for-4 night on October 2. However, he has not recorded multiple hits in a game yet. Brian Serven is the only Rockies prospect to record multiple hits in a game, and he did so on October 5. Bret Boswell has yet to even record one. This could really be a case of “working on stuff,” but hopefully these hitters get things turned around soon.
