Last week, Affected by Altitude took on the daunting task of unpacking a disastrous season. In part two of our 2019 postmortem, Sam Bradfield and Ben Kouchnerkavich are joined by Adam Peterson and Nick Hertzog to discuss a few revelations from the press conference that wasn’t a press conference last Tuesday. Of interest were Bridich’s avoidance tactics, Monfort’s confession, and the Rockies’ general lack of interest in fundamental change from the top down.
We also begin to work our way through the prolific recommendations of amuesing1, who made a series of well-constructed arguments to show just how much could be done with a data-driven approach to playing at altitude. Thank you for the incredible effort you put into the piece, amuesing1!

AxA is a bimonthly podcast featuring round-table discussion, game segments, interviews, and the occasional hot take from a revolving group of contributors from Purple Row. We live in different places, have varying backgrounds, and may or may not know where Driveline is. Regardless, we are all united in our love of the Rockies and a desire to provide Purple Row readers with a fan-centered perspective.
Thank you all so much for the support you’ve given this podcast in our inaugural run! We learned a lot and tried to improve through the course of the season. As we look forward to a much better 2020, let us know what you would like to see from the show and what we can do to improve.
