Who do you think will win the Rockies second base job?

Do you got Garrett Hampson? Ryan McMahon? Someone else?

After the long winter months, springtime is a season of rejuvenation. Soon the sun will be shining, the birds will be chirping, the bats will be cracking, the gloves will be popping and will be swiftly reminded that warmer weather and baseball are here once again. The Rockies are maintaining a good chunk of their roster from the 2018 season, although they’ve had some additions and subtractions. With only a few days remaining, the team still has some questions to answer.

One major question is, who will be the starting second baseman?

DJ LeMahieu is now a member of the Yankees (and people feel differently about that). After spending the greater part of seven seasons as the best and most consistent second basemen in franchise history, that loss leaves a major gap to be filled.

After an offseason of rumors surrounding the position, a trio of youngsters are competing for the starting position during Spring Training: Ryan McMahon, Garrett Hampson, and Brendan Rodgers. McMahon and Hampson are the frontrunners, particularly since they have major league experience, and Rodgers didn’t exactly impress in Triple-A in 2018. However, he could be a dark horse to secure the position if he plays well in Arizona. This will be a major position battle with a lot on the line, and definitely one of the major storylines to watch this spring.

So, who do you got?
