Welcome to SB Nation FanPulse, a survey of fans across MLB. Each week, we send 30 polls to plugged in fans from each team. Rockies fans, sign up HERE to join FanPulse.
When the FanPulse survey went out earlier this week, the Rockies had just broken an eight game losing streak. Even though it was due to one of the best pitching performances in team history, it wasn’t enough to prevent an overall downturn in overall confidence in the team. Here’s the four week summary:
Week 1: 100% confidence (pre-season)
Week 2: 100% confidence (a couple wins and some warts appear)
Week 3: 75% confidence (losing streak begins)
Week 4: 60% confidence (losing streak finally ends)
Confidence in Bud Black hasn’t been as affected by the losing streak. He also had 100% confidence over the first two weeks, and in the next two that fell to 93% and 92%. Of course, the voting pool is also changing, so it may not be that people are losing confidence, but that more people are signing up for the weekly poll and it’s getting more representative.
The national question asked about who gets the better end of a long-term contract for a young player, the player or the team?
See you next week.
