The Rockies continue their east coast road trip through Philadelphia before heading to Pittsburgh for a three game set on Tuesday. They’ve lost three in a row and are looking to avoid the sweep at the hands of the Phillies. Both teams are streaky right now, but the Phillies certainly have the better record at 26-19 to the Rockies 20-24. Kyle Freeland will take the mound for the Rockies against Jerad Eickhoff. The 28-year-old righty boasts a 2.65 ERA in six starts in 2019 with ten earned runs over 34 innings with 13 walks and 33 strikeouts. This will be the second time he has faced Colorado this season, and his first time against them he gave up four earned runs on seven hits and four walks (as well as eight strikeouts) en route to the Rockies victory on April 21st. In his last outing against the Brewers, he gave up five earned runs and his first two homers of the season. He also struck out two in the loss.
