Welcome to SB Nation FanPulse, a survey of fans across MLB. Each week, we send 30 polls to plugged in fans from each team. Rockies fans, sign up HERE to join FanPulse.
For the past five weeks, fans from this and other SB Nation sites have been polled on overall team confidence, manager approval, and a handful of national questions. Five weeks into the season, it’s interesting to look at how the confidence of Rockies fans compares to others in the NL West.
Two caveats have to be kept in mind. First, the sample size for each fan base is different, so it’s not an apples to apples comparison. It’s very likely that there are more people taking the Dodgers poll than the Rockies poll. And second, I don’t know what the sample sizes are, so take this as the unscientific poll it’s intended to be. With those grains of salt out of the way, let’s take a look at how things have been trending:

The first thing that sticks out is that Padres’ fans like where the team is going. Only in the past few weeks has team confidence dipped below 100%. Another thing that sticks out is that Rockies fans — you the people — are among the most confident of all the NL West fanbases. At least when the team is winning, that is. Rockies fan confidence started out sky high, dipped while they were on that terrible losing streak, but has since rebounded after the team seems to have righted the ship. At the beginning of the season and now, the surveyed Rockies fans have more confidence in the team than surveyed Dodgers fans do in their team. That’s something.
Also, let’s take a moment to admire the dip that orange line is making. Magnificent.
We’ll check in on this as the season progresses, as well as add more Rockies’ specific questions as we go along.
