The Rockies (40-37) would just as soon forget their last three games in Los Angeles, so they travel up the coast to take on the Giants (33-43) for a three game set.
Colorado is currently 3-3 on the nine-game road trip. Jon Gray takes the mound after a six inning start in Arizona last Wednesday where he allowed just one run on six hits and two walks. He managed just four strikeouts. His last start against the Giants came at Oracle Park on April 11 wherein he allowed just one run over 6 2⁄3 innings, but still took the loss.
Old Friend Drew Pomeranz takes the hill for the Giants. While he’s struck out 59 batters in 53 1⁄3 innings, he’s also allowed 50 earned runs (7.09 ERA, 1.77 WHIP). He lasted just 4 1⁄3 last week against the Dodgers, who tagged him for seven runs.
