Affected by Altitude podcast: First Half Roundup

Affected by Altitude evaluates an uneven first half and the Rockies’ trade options

The Rockies took a nosedive into the All-Star break, capping off a down-and-up-and-down first half. Arenado, Story, Dahl, and Blackmon have all had standout performances, and the offense has received major contributions from some unlikely sources (and stashes). But do they have enough to make a third playoff appearance?

In episode 7 of Affected by Altitude, Ben Kouchnerkavich, Sam Bradfield, and Adam Peterson discuss where the Rockies stand at the All-Star break and how the second half will shake out. Ben and Sam are then joined by Nick Hertzog and Eric Garcia McKinley to brainstorm the Rockies’ options at the trade deadline, and Nick shares a story about Ubering a Colorado Rockie.

AxA is a bimonthly podcast featuring roundtable discussion, game segments, interviews, and the occasional hot take from a revolving group of contributors from Purple Row. We live in different places, have varying backgrounds, and may or may not know what “deserved runs created” even is. Regardless, we are all united in our love of the Rockies and a desire to provide Purple Row readers with a fresh new voice.

We continue to be thrilled by the support we are receiving from Rockies’ nation. This show is for you, Purple Row readers and Rockies fans, so please let us know how we’re doing, what we can improve, and what you would like to see from us moving forward.
