UPDATE: Monday’s game against the Nationals has been postponed due to weather. The game will be made up as part of a split doubleheader on Wednesday. Game 1 will start at 11:05 a.m. MT, and game 2 will begin at its regularly scheduled time of 5:05 MT.
The Colorado Rockies baseball club (47-52) won a Major League Baseball game yesterday! They will try to do the same thing today, this time against the NL Wild Card leading Washington Nationals (52-46), as they open up a four game set in the nation’s capital.
Peter Lambert will try to build on his good outing last week against the Giants when he allowed two runs on six hits with no walks over six innings (spoiler: he did not get the win). He will start against Erick Fedde (1-1, 3.50 ERA) will be making his eighth start of the season for the Nats, who will also throw Stephen Strasburg and Max Scherzer (returning from the IL) this week.
What I’m trying to say is, go get a win today, please.
