The Rockies (49-57) have lost 17 of their last 22 games and are 5-12 since the All-Star Break. So obviously what they need is a visit from the best team in baseball, the Los Angeles Dodgers (69-38).
Jon Gray will take the mound for the Rockies coming off a injury-shortened start on Wednesday in Washington in which he went four innings allowing one run on two hits with four strikeouts and five (!) walks.
Kenta Maeda is the pitcher for the Dodgers. This will be his fourth start against the Rockies this season, third in Coors Field. He has a 2.76 ERA against Colorado in 16 1⁄3 innings with 15 strikeouts and eight walks.
