While it will take nothing short of divine intervention for the Colorado Rockies to surpass the Los Angeles Dodgers for first place in the National League West, the Rox find themselves in the thick of the hunt for the Wild Card race. As Aaron Hurt of Rox Pile writes, the Rockies find themselves in a very similar situation to many other teams in the NL—and looking at very similar players as upgrades. Hurt opines that the Rockies need to make a move sooner rather than later so that they are not left in the dust.

After a successful season at Illinois State, Aeilts now finds himself playing with the Boise Hawks trying to make an impression.
