Colorado Rockies: Some of the best moments of the 2019 season | Rox Pile
The Rockies are sitting just below .500 entering the All-Star break, but they’ve had some serious highlights in the first half of the year. One of these moments was Chris Iannetta hitting a home run in Tampa Bay. This broke the tie that went into the 11th inning, giving the Rockies a hard-won 1-0 victory. On the other side of things, there was German Marquez’s near no-hitter against the Giants. He gave up only one hit while pitching into the eighth inning.
There was Charlie Blackmon’s first home run of the season, a walkoff against the Phillies at Coors Field. We can’t forget Raimel Tapia’s inside-the-park home run, and Trevor Story’s walkoff against Baltimore. A majorly memorable moment was Peter Lambert’s debut, in which he showed what he came to do, dominating on the mound. Finally, Ian Desmond got himself an inside-the-park home run, earning back some Rockies’ fans’ admiration. The first half had its misses, but there were undoubtedly some incredible moments.
On the Farm
It was a quiet night in the minor leagues Monday, with the Isotopes and the Yard Goats having the night off. The JetHawks strung together some good hits and displayed some good pitching.
