Weird that the Rockies haven’t played baseball all week, right? Like, I know they are supposed to play games pretty much every day but it’s a good thing they got some days off because the games that were scheduled to be played in Houston definitely didn’t happen so let’s not even talk about it.
The Rockies (52-62) head to San Diego to take on the Padres (52-61) for the first time since mid-June when the two teams combined for 92 runs over four games in Coors Field. Jon Gray takes the hill for the first time since giving up four runs over four innings to the Giants on August 3. Eric Lauer will start for the Padres; he somehow managed to allow just two runs on three hits over six innings against the Dodgers on August 2. Baseball, amirite?
