Colorado Rockies game no. 146 thread: Antonio Senzatela vs. Dakota Hudson

Start time, lineups, and discussion for game two against the Cardinals at Coors Field

The Colorado Rockies (61-84) try to clinch a not-100-loss season tonight against the NL Central leading St. Louis Cardinals (81-63), who are trying to clinch a winning season. Intrigue at Coors Field!

Antonio Senzatela (8-10, 7.19 ERA) takes the mound for the Rockies. In his start in St. Louis on August 25 he lasted ust 1 23 innings, allowing six runs on five hits and two walks. He gave up six runs over five innings against the Pirates in Coors five days later, and in his last start in Los Angeles he allowed five runs over three innings. Suffice it to say, Senza is having a tough time completing job-one of a pitcher: run prevention.

Dakota Hudson (15-6, 3.40) on the other hand has had a marvelous campaign in his first full season for the Cardinals. He has 116 strikeouts over 153 23 innings and has allowed a respectable .252/.339/.408 batting line. On August 24, he shut out the Rockies over six innings, allowing two hits, three walks, and two strikeouts en route to a Cardinals victory.
