Colorado Rockies end 2019 on a good note

Colorado Rockies: The passion still shown in a lost season is beautiful | Rox Pile

The Rockies finished up their season Sunday afternoon, sweeping the Brewers on a beautiful afternoon. It was a hard season, that’s for sure, something that Bud Black would corroborate, but that doesn’t make us fans love baseball any less. Our team lost, but we are still fans. We still love when Tony Wolters gets a huge hit, when Nolan Arenado makes a play at third, when Trevor Story hits a walk-off home run. We care so much, like Tim Melville bringing cookies to share as the season ended. Our Rockies still fought hard to the very end of the tough year, and we can’t wait to cheer them on again in 2020.

The Rockies ended their season by taking the Brewers into extra innings and winning on a walk-off. A lot of the Coors Field crowd had already headed home, but there were still some die-hard fans who stuck it out for the four hours to see the Rockies end the season. The team ended the season fourth in the division, but they did not stop fighting and playing their game.

To the wonderful Rockies community: I bid you all a fond farewell as this is the final Rockpile I’ll write. It’s been a real honor sharing Rockies news over these past two years, and I’ll continue to love this team and follow their lows and hopefully their highs as the years go on. Go Rockies.
