Colorado Rockies simulation game No. 7 thread: Germán Márquez vs. Clayton Kershaw

The Rockies will be looking to complete a Dodger sweep today

Sim Germán Márquez will look to help the Rockies cap a three-game sweep of the Dodgers and move to 2-0 on the season as a starter when the NL West rivals take the field today. Márquez helped the Rockies post their first win of the season, a 3-2 victory over the Padres in Game 2, after going 6 2/3 innings with only giving up one run on five hits and three walks with six strikeouts. It won’t be an easy win for the Rockies as Sim Clayton Kershaw will be on the mound for the Dodgers. Kershaw has a 23-8 record in 42 starts against the Rockies in his career, but the Rockies have gotten to him plenty of times as his 3.28 ERA against the team is his fourth worst against all MLB teams and the top three are hardly seen American League opponents (two games against the Rangers and one against the Indians for 4.50 ERAs vs. both and two games against the Blue Jays for an ERA of 3.46). Ryan McMahon helped the Rockies win on Tuesday night with 3-run homer in the 4-3 victory. Jon Gray had an impressive start, but Wade Davis was once again dicey and was pulled in the ninth before Tyler Kinley to come in and get the save. Stay tuned for an exciting series finale.
