After getting brutally swept by the Milwaukee Brewers over the weekend, the Sim Rockies will shift their focus to another Midwest team coming to town — the Chicago White Sox. This will be the South Siders’ first visit to Coors since the 2017 season, in which the Rockies took two out of three in that series. The Rockies will travel to Guaranteed Rate Field in mid-May for another two games — their first trip to the South Side since the 2008 season. Germán Márquez will look to have another strong outing after pitching six quality innings in his last start against the Giants. He will go up against White Sox right-hander Michael Kopech. Kopech, 23, was drafted in the first round of the 2018 draft (33rd overall) but lost his entire 2019 to Tommy John in March. This will be Kopech’s first start of the season, after making a handful of relief appearances.
