The Rockies will look to cap off a six-game road trip with a sweep of the Tigers today, led by Kyle Freeland’s impressive 1.86 ERA and 2-1 record (14 strikeouts and nine walks in five starts). Freeland hasn’t faced the Tigers yet in his young career. Lefty Daniel Norris (1-2, 4.14) will be throwing for the Tigers and hasn’t ever faced the Rockies either in his eight-year MLB career. The Rockies (17-17) are riding high after overcoming a six-run deficit in an 11-inning 11-10 win on Tuesday. Colorado has scored 18 runs in the series so far and will hope to add to that, even with a slightly different lineup that includes Chris Owings getting the start in left field, Elias Díaz behind the plate, and Ian Desmond as the DH.
