After Saturday’s shutout, the Sim Rockies came roaring back on Sunday with three whole runs and slightly more than three hits. How? Well, I’m glad you asked.
You don’t get beat by solo home runs
Even if the team hits three of them, apparently.
The Sim Rockies managed just four hits, including solo home runs by Drew Butera, Ian Desmond, and Nolan Arenado. David Dahl had the afternoon off, but unfortunately, Sam Hilliard, who took Dahl’s spot in the field, and Trevor Story, who took Dahl’s spot in the lineup, were both hitless in this one. The only other Sim Rockies baserunner came on a Desmond single.

Sim Giants cleanup hitter Pablo Sandoval was 2-for-4 with a triple and a two-RBI double. And while there is nothing about that sentence that would have made sense a year ago, it does follow 2020’s current working slogan: “2020: None of this would have made any sense a year ago.”
